The NHSO is celebrating its 115th Season with great artists performing fantastic music.
The arts inspire us - they are our body and soul. Of all the arts, music defines us as individuals, our society and our generation. When you hear a piece of music it immediately transports you to the time when you first heard it. Without music we would not have the ability to be ennobled and transported into the mystical world of sound. Music is one of the answers to the mystery of life. It is the most profound of all the arts; it expresses the deepest thoughts of life and being; a simple language which, nonetheless, cannot be translated.
I am delighted to present the NHSO’s 2008-09 Season of programs which encompasses a wide variety of music from Ellington to Walton combined with great
collaborations with soloists coming from as far as France, the United Kingdom, Korea and Canada.
Join us for what promises to be a great Season of Celebration.
See you at the Symphony,
William Boughton
Music Director
